Off to a Great School Year!
The curriculum school year is in full swing in Children’s House 1-1. We have covered the letters A, B, and C as well as numbers 1, 2 and 3. We are learning our primary colors as well. Next week we will be covering basic shapes.
On the playground we are exploring our outside environment for signs of fall, collecting leaves and acorns that have fallen from the trees which shade our play area. Perhaps we will collect enough for a fall art project!
We celebrated our friend Claire turning three with Montessori’s “Walk Around the Sun” celebration. Claire’s parents brought everyone cupcakes to mark the occasion.
With cooler weather on the horizon we would like to ask parents to check their child’s cubby for warmer clothes. Mornings can be quite cool so light jackets and sweaters are a good idea.
