Every once in a while, I like to leave themes behind and focus on the core skills, like letter recognition and phonetics. As a group we play memory games and do phonetics activities. This allows those of us who have mastered phonetics to help those who are still working on their knowledge.
This memory game is engaging, fun, and great exercise for our brains!

We broke out the good paint to make these masterpieces.
Fingerpainting is messy, but a great way to experiment creating art with your fingers tips.
Watercolors are a favorite since they give you such beautiful color to create with.
We also watched an animal hatch from an egg. Thanks Avery.
The creature that emerged looked like a lion. Dawson cleverly remarked that it doesn’t make sense for a mammal like a lion to hatch from an egg.
This is the hardest puzzle ever!
We’re creating a book about what we want to be when we grow up as a thank you to Mr. Daniel San Souci, one of our favorite children’s writers who sent us a bunch of cool stuff.
Livia wants to be an obstetrician, or as she calls it… a baby doctor.
