Decorations and Celebrations
Last week in CH 1-2 we focused on the letter K. We worked with the Montessori sandpaper letters, talked about words that start with k and focused kangaroos. Some of the fun things we learned about kangaroos are th
at they cannot walk backwards, the babies are called joeys or as a few of us like to say “joes” and they mostly live in Australia.
We decorated the classroom with paper chains in christmas and hanukkah colors! We made ornaments for our class tree. We have been very festive this month with all our fun decorations and celebrations!
The children loved learning about Hanukkah. We read books and pretended to be dreidels! We played dreidel for candy and enjoyed homemade latkes too. It was a great celebration. We even have some hanukkah/holiday books in our class library. Be sure to check them out!
