Exploring our Creativity
In Children’s House 2-1 we were busy working on our challenges while having fun. This week the children concentrated on their addition and subtraction challenges as well as learning how to write their first and last names. Everyone is improving on their penmanship daily and working hard.
We also created some fun art that enabled the children to show off their creative sides. First they were given small branches from outside along with tissue paper. Then the children then tore the tissue paper into pieces for their leaves while Miss Ebony glued the branches onto pieces of paper. Finally the children glued their pieces of tissue paper onto the branches to create their own trees. Everyone’s project turned out beautifully!
On Friday we had a party to say goodbye to one of our students, Alena who is moving on to kindger-garden. Her and her mom baked cookies and brought them to school to share with the whole class. Although everyone at Montessori is going to miss Alena we wish her the best at her new school and know she will do great!
