Frogs in Ponds
Our frogs are finally in our pond joining our turtles on their logs. Frog, pond and log all include the short o sound, which we’ve explored along with the other short vowels practicing rhyming words. We’ve also worked with the letters T and F making long lists of words together. With all the rain we’ve sung many choruses of Itsy Bitsy Spider and been working on our days of the week song. Learning about frogs (and of course toads) after turtles meant learning the differences between reptiles and amphibians. In spite of the rain, we’ve enjoyed the cool Spring weather and spend time outside every morning and after lunch when the weather allows.
