Fun in the Summer Sun!
CH-2 is having a blast with our summer themes! When we’re not spending time outside soaking up the sun, we are inside learning, crafting, and sharing.
For our zoo theme, we talked about our favorite zoo animals and even learned some signs to represent them in American Sign Language. We talked about the predator/prey relationship, the food chain, and the circle of life. Ms. Sarah painted our faces to look like our favorite animals!
For our second theme, we spent time celebrating reading! We shared some of our favorite books and dressed up as our favorite characters. Ms. Jen and Ms. Sarah even brought in some of their favorite childhood books to share with the class. We made a Very Hungry Caterpillar craft to take home and share with our families.
We had a “blast” with our space theme, especially since we are all Star Wars super fans. We learned about our solar system, constellations, and space travel. We made our own rockets and had a contest to see who could fly their rocket farthest… and of course, we talked about all things STAR WARS!
This week, we celebrated pets! We talked about our family pets and why they are so special to us. We also made “pet” rocks to take home! With so much to learn and do, CH-2 is definitely starting summer off on the right foot!
