Look up!

| August 12, 2016

What do you see when you look up at the sky? This was a question we asked ourselves this week as we explored the air above us. First we made puffy clouds using sponges, white paint, and baby blue construction paper.

Then we created an airplane out of a large cardboard box, but after Ms. Maddy misplaced the wings, we shifted focus and made a flight simulator instead. What a cool idea! We created a cock pit and in the end added wings after all. Then we broke out the glue gun to make really cool hot air balloon piggy banks.

Ms. Maddy’s favorite thing to see flying in the sky are butterflies, so on the last day of the week, we used colorful paint and construction paper to create beautiful butterflies to decorate our classroom.
