Pretty Pleasant Week

| January 27, 2016

The Montessori Academy of Carrboro has been a winter wonderland. The ground is covered in snow and the kids have been regaling us with their snow day stories. Our class specifically has had a wonderful view of the snowy playground to talk about during circle time and snack tadilime.

The kids are extra excited this week because of the lingering snow and our fun days off.  Last week, although short, we focused on the letter O. We talked about shapes and learned about the eight sided octagon. This week will focus on the letter P. The kids love this letter because they get to talk about all their favorite foods; pasta, pizza and popcorn! We will also learn about the pentagon and the hexagon.

As January comes to an end we will begin preparing for February which will include the celebration of Valentines Day and Black History Month!
