Reading and Math Fun

| March 27, 2017

This week went by so quickly in Children’s House 2-1! All of our friends worked so hard on simple addition and subtraction problems. Using numbers and counting tools, we continue to work on math everyday. Montessori Spindles are one of our favorite counting works.

Our skills at cutting are improving as well. We practice by cutting straight and curved lines. It helps with our eye and hand coordination and fine motor skills. Tracing and letters help us to write and we are all practicing writing our names. Sometimes we even write with materials which we find. Some of our friends used sticks and mulch outside to make letters and write their name.

In art, we worked on water color paintings as well as making birthday cards for our friends who had birthdays this month.

As we come to the end of March, we are truly enjoying the warmer weather and all of the outdoor activities that come with the season.
