Safari Versus the Arctic

| July 23, 2018

This week’s theme for CH-2 was Polar Opposites: Safari vs. the Arctic. The children had a great time with the many crafts and experiment they created. Several of the crafts the children enjoyed the most were creating elephants out of paper plates and igloos out of various colors of tissue paper. On Thursday the class enjoyed a sensory experiment by making their own snow out of shaving cream and baking soda.

The class also thought of many creative words for our letter of the week, Y such as yak, yogurt and yoda. Finally on Thursday the class enjoyed Splash Day and particularly loved the new water apparatus that a parent brought for the children to enjoy. Everyone had a great time on Friday as well with all the great toys the children brought for Show and Share. We look forward to the next theme of the week and the new projects we will delve into.
