The Great Pumpkin-Lanterns!

| October 28, 2016

Its Halloween Week! We celebrated Halloween everyday this week. We read spooky Toddler approved stories every day. Our favorite book was called Monster Mischief. We learned about all of the common Halloween monsters such as witches, zombies, Frankensteins, mummies, vampires, and werewolves. We practiced acting like all of the monsters and had so much fun. We learned all about Pumpkins and carving them into Jack O Lanterns. However, we call them pumpkin lanterns. For art, we made a pumpkin and put in the pumpkin seeds and string and then we made our own Pumpkin Lantern faces. We also did a handprint Frankenstein craft. The toddlers received new painting mediums called Dot Markers and they loved them. We practiced using them to make our bats. On Fun Friday, we decorated our own Halloween shaped sugar cookies and ate them. They were so yummy.img_0446 img_2273 img_6580 img_9639 This week we said goodbye to our long time friend, Tommy as he transitioned up to the Children’s House classroom.
