Tie-dye T-shirts and Tenacious Twirling
Montessori Academy was rocking out this week with music spanning from the 1920’s to todays hits. The whole week each class filled the rooms with different decades greatest hits and one hit wonders. The children danced and sang the whole time. The most popular genre of music in our class was Rock n’ Roll. They loved everything from Do-wop Rockabilly to Glam Rock. We listened to The Del Vikings, Elvis, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Kinks, just to name a few.
Wednesday was tie-dye day! It was quite an eventful day. Everyone was able to dye a t-shirt and watch how it was hung to dry. They were all very proud of their shirts and the mess they had made. Friday topped our week because not only did we have one dance party in our class but we joined two other classes for theirs. Miss Tori has Kitty Kinnin from 96.1 fm, or as Kate likes to call her Ya-ya, come visit and brought Mr. Doug to play his electric guitar. We then joined Miss. Maddy for a dark disco in her room.
Overall this has been a rockin’ week with lots of music, fun and friends! As Always, thank you for your support and encouragement.
