Toddler Olympics
This was our last week of Summer Themes. In Toddler Room 1, we ended with our Olympic week. It was only right that we begin our week with an Opening Torch Ceremony. The Toddlers made a fun torch craft, which we introduced a new medium to them, tissue paper. They enjoyed taking the pieces of tissue paper and gluing them onto he torches. We then played a game of ring toss. The toddlers loved throwing or placing the rings into a stack. We then had a huge parachute play party and bounced the ball in the middle. We were able to make our own medals and each toddler received a different phrase on theirs such as Gymnastics Gold or Montessori Gold. We ended the week with a Olympic Obstacle Course. The toddlers enjoyed the Olympic tunnel the most. At the end of Friday, we all received a Gold medal for our hard working Olympic week. This week we said goodbye to our longtime friend, Anna Borden, as she moves up into Children’s House 1. We also welcomed our new friend Benjamin to our class this week.
